Clintons, Gates accept Naidu’s invitation

Former President of USA Bill Clinton and chairman of Microsoft Bill Gates have accepted the invitation of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is in New York to attend the World Economic Forum meeting, to visit Hyderabad. Naidu attended a breakfast meeting with the deputy prime minister of Canada and Canadian minister for industry and trade during which he suggested that the state could benefit from the Canadian experience in information technology. Naidu also met Hank Paulson, chairman of Goldman Sachs and discussed with him the out-location of their back offices. During his meeting with Bill Gates, Naidu discussed the developments in software sector and the activities of the Gates Foundation in the state. Gates has accepted the invitation of Naidu to visit Hyderabad early next year. Naidu also met Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton at the reception hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry and invited them to visit Hyderabad. According to an official press release, they agreed to visit the city during their next trip to India. A reception was organised on the sidelines of the ongoing World Economic Forum meeting at New York which was attended by the Clintons, finance minister Yashwant Sinha and a large number of ceos from all over the world.
